Today’s shooting in Aurora is a stark reminder of how broken our world is.

Our hearts and prayers go out to the individuals and families who have been forever changed by this cruel act.

Government will never change the fallen nature of mankind, but government must respond to this senseless act which has deprived so many of our fellow Coloradans of their right to life. I pray we will have compassion for those hurt so grievously, deliver justice fairly and swiftly to the killer, and not let the despicable actions of one madman strip another layer of liberty away from us all.
