These pictures were taken on July 15, 2020, several weeks after the vandalism started. As of that date the governor made no effort to stop the destruction. Many of the images show that the graffiti has several layers, indicating the vandalism continued to be added to night after night. Across Lincoln Street, West of the Capitol, Denver allowed a tent city to be established.
It is impossible to describe the extent of this profane disrespect and destruction without this many images, which still only show a portion of all that has been done to our state capitol building. Also, from what I saw several weeks earlier, most of the windows on the ground level, though boarded up in these pictures, were broken during the first few days of the riots.
