THE GENIUS OF THE AMERICAN SPIRIT
It’s the economy, ladies and gentlemen.

Democrats are desperately trying to change the subject to anything but the economy.

To paraphrase a statement used in an election twenty years ago: It’s the economy, ladies and gentlemen.

The real issue, in light of the dismal condition of our economy, is putting taxes, regulations, “stimulus programs,” and all the other excessive government programs back into the very limited places they belong for a free and prosperous society.

We cannot afford four more years of Obama’s reckless policies.

Nonetheless, as I write this quick note I find myself in the first day of a special session called by the governor to give the Democrats one more shot at civil unions. They are using this as a political  football to ramp up their fundraising.

I will continue to stand up for marriage and fight anything that radically alters our state’s policies on marriage and the family.

I will also continue my focus on the economy.

On this first day of the special session I cannot tell how the vote on civil unions will turn out. But win or lose, it is apparent that our governor, while the economy continues to languish, is willing to spend a great deal of our time and his political capital on this social issue.

The stakes are as high as they can be for this election. The dramatic turn of events in the past few days underscores the significance of the vote this November.

I need your help today to build the team and build the war chest we must have to beat Jared Polis in November. Please contribute what you can now and sign-up to volunteer, or request a yard sign if you haven’t already.
